No festive meal is complete without cranberry sauce. Try this version, which includes sloe gin for a modern twist on the classic Christmas relish

60g light soft brown sugar250g pack fresh cranberries100ml sloe gin4 juniper berries
STEP 1Put all the ingredients in a saucepan. Bring up to a simmer and cook for 5 mins, then take off the heat and leave to cool. Can be chilled for up to four days or frozen for two months. Serve at room temperature.
