Raw Papitha No Sambharo Recipe

Raw Papitha No Sambharo Recipe is a hot papaya stir fry that is served along with Fafda and kadhi when you walk into the streets of Gujarat early in the morning. In this recipe the raw papaya is stir fried along with green chillies and salt making it absolutely refreshing and tasty for breakfast.

Course : North Indian Breakfast

Ingridients : 1 teaspoon Oil

1 teaspoon Mustard seeds (Rai/ Kadugu)

1 teaspoon Cumin seeds (Jeera)

1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida (hing)

1 teaspoon Turmeric powder (Haldi)

2 Green Chillies , slit

250 gram Raw papaya , grated

Salt , to taste

Instructions To begin making the Papitha No Sambharo, first prep all the ingredients and keep them ready. Grate the papaya and keep it aside.Heal oil in a pan over medium heat; add the mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Allow them to crackle. Add the hing, green chillies, turmeric powder and the raw grated papaya along with salt.Stir fry until the papaya softens just a bit. Once done, turn off the heat and transfer the papitha nu sambharo to a bowl and serve.Serve Raw Papitha No Sambharo along with Khaman Dhokla, Fafda, and Green Chutney for a high protein breakfast.
