Ingridients : 1 Mangalorean cucumber , Peel removed
4 tablespoon Fresh coconut , grated
2 Dry Red Chillies
2 teaspoon White Urad Dal (Split)
2 teaspoon Chana dal (Bengal Gram Dal)
18 grams Tamarind
1 teaspoon Jaggery
To temper
1 tablespoon Oil
1 teaspoon Mustard seeds (Rai/ Kadugu)
1 sprig Curry leaves
Instructions We begin making the Southekayi Seppe Chutney Recipe (Mangalore Cucumber Peel Chutney Recipe) by peeling the skin of the mangalore cucumber. Keep the flesh for later use.Heat Kadai with oil, fry these chopped peel till it is soft. Then take them out. In the same kadai, add the urad dal, chana dal and coconut and roast them for 2 minutes.Once done grind along with the rest of the ingredients mentioned above including the Mangalore peel.Season it with salt if required and put it into a serving cup.
