Apple Cinnamon Modak Recipe
This Ganesh Chaturthi lets give a delicious twist to the regular modaks with these Apple Cinnamon Modaks. So reminiscent of an apple pie because of its apple cinnamon filling yet maintaining the classic shape and feel of a modak.

Ingridients : For the dough or covering:
3/4 cup All Purpose Flour (Maida)
1/4 cup Sooji (Semolina/ Rava)
1/4 cup Rice flour
1/2 cup Milk
1-2 tablespoon Ghee
Salt , to taste
3 cups Oil , for deep frying
For the filling:
2 Apples , peeled and chopped
1/4 cup Brown Sugar (Demerara Sugar)
1 tablespoon Cinnamon Powder (Dalchini)
Instructions To begin preparing the Apple Cinnamon Modaks, combine maida, sooji or rava and rice flour together with salt.Add milk and start kneading until the dough is soft.Once it comes together, add the ghee and knead well once again.Keep the dough covered with a cloth, to rest for 15 minutes
